The Jersey Christmas Appeal helps financially disadvantaged individuals and families in Jersey at Christmas.
How many people are helped?
Last year the Appeal provided direct help to over 1,100 individuals. It also provides help indirectly by supporting other charities and associations with over the festive period.
How do people ask for help?
People in need fill out a simple form requesting assistance for Christmas. The forms are available from Approved Referring Agencies, as listed on the back of the application form, or can be downloaded from our website.
Once completed the form must be countersigned by an Approved Referring Agency, who will then submit the form to the Appeal for checking and processing.

Vouchers
The Appeal issues vouchers for food, heating (where not included in the housing rent) and toys or gifts for young persons. Examples of the vouchers can be seen above.
Who we've helped
The Appeal helps a wide variety of people at Christmas. Here are some real life examples.
The neglected child
A grandmother is legally responsible for a young child who has been neglected. Her husband is on a zero hours contract and always runs short of work around Christmas. A Jersey Christmas Appeal voucher helps buy her grandson a gift at Christmas.
The single-parent home
A single parent to three children goes out to work but only just manages to make ends meet. Jersey Christmas Appeal vouchers help the family enjoy all the little extras that make Christmas Day special.
Pensioners
A pensioner lives alone and struggles to make ends meet. Jersey Christmas Appeal vouchers bring financial relief, and the fact that somebody cares lifts their spirits at Christmas.
